OPERATION
AUTO SENSOR MICROWAVING
The Auto Sensor feature makes microwave cooking easy and simple. Using
the built-in humidity sensor, the oven measures the amount of steam/humidity
in the oven to determine the best cooking time and power level for the food
placed in the oven. The process is automatic, and there's no need to enter food
amount or cooking time. A variety of popular food categories have been
preprogrammed in the 8 Direct Access keypads. Simply press a food keypad
for the food and then
START
, and the oven does the rest.
Food Keypads:
For the Soup/Beverage category only, you must enter the number of servings
(up to 3 servings) after pressing the food keypad.
Notes:
Food examples suitable for each keypad are shown on pages 28-29.
Use the
POPCORN
keypad to prepare prepackaged microwave-ready
popcorn. Usable bag sizes: 50-g to 100-g only.
Example -
To reheat precooked pizza:
Note:
Do not open the door until time count down starts in the display.
MORE/LESS Adjustment
The
MORE/LESS
keypad allows fine adjustments in Auto Sensor microwaving
by either increasing or decreasing the preprogrammed cooking time. When
you select a food keypad at step 1, the indicator above the
MORE/LESS
keypad
lights to remind you that you can use this feature.
To increase the time, press
MORE/LESS
once.
To decrease the time, press
MORE/LESS
twice.
Pause Reminder
About halfway through the Auto Sensor cooking process, 5 beeps sound to
remind you to stir (turn or separate) the food. If you do not open the door at
the reminder, the oven continues to complete cooking. The Pause prompt
scrolls across the display.
If an Error Message appears...
ERROR 1:
The door is opened before time countdown starts. Press
STOP/
CLEAR
, and use Time cooking to finish. (Partially-cooked foods are no
longer suitable for Auto Sensor Microwaving.)
ERROR 2:
Auto Sensor Microwaving was attempted within 5 minutes after
plugging in the oven. Press
STOP/CLEAR
, wait for 5 minutes and
retry.
