my wa90g9 top loader has problem with water pump. I replaced it but i think connections are not done by me . the pump runs continuously when i connect power without turning it on

There is a cracking noise coming from the front chamber while the machine is washing, just noticed it after changing the drain pump. What could be the problem?

My Washing machine does not spin on wash mode but it spins on drain function. The washer floats out off position when water is in the machine.
