De werking van een magnetronoven

Microgolven zijn elektromagnetische golven met een hoge frequentie. De energie

in deze golven zorgt ervoor dat de gerechten gaar worden of worden opgewarmd

zonder dat de vorm of kleur ervan verandert.

U kunt een magnetron gebruiken voor:

• Ontdooien

• Bereiden

Bereidingsprincipe

1. De microgolven die door de magnetron worden gege-

nereerd, worden gelijkmatig verdeeld door middel van

het roerdistributiesysteem.

Hierdoor wordt het gerecht gelijkmatig verwarmd.

2. De microgolven worden door het gerecht opgenomen

tot een diepte van ongeveer 2.5 cm. Het verwarming-

sproces gaat verder doordat de warmte binnen het

gerecht wordt doorgegeven.

3. De bereidingstijd varieert afhankelijk van de gebruikte

schaal en de eigenschappen van het gerecht:

• Hoeveelheid en dichtheid

• Watergehalte

• Begintemperatuur (gekoeld of kamertemperatuur)

Belangrijk

Aangezien de binnenkant van het gerecht wordt verwarmd door warmtedoorgifte, gaat het

verwarmingsproces zelfs nog door nadat u het gerecht uit de oven hebt gehaald.

Om deze reden moet u de gaartijden die in recepten en in deze handleiding worden vermeld

aanhouden. Dit is om ervoor te zorgen dat:

• Het gerecht ook van binnen gaar wordt

• Het gerecht overal even warm wordt
