DISPLAY GUIDE
PREPARING YOUR SCALE
1. Open the battery compartment on the scale underside.
2. Insert batteries (1 x CR2032) observing the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. Select kg, st or lb weight mode by the switch on the underside of the scale.
5. For use on carpet remove the non-slip pads from the scales feet and attach enclosed
carpet feet.
WEIGHT READING ONLY
1.Positionscaleonarmatsurface.
2. Tap the platform centre (vibration activates your scale) and remove your foot.
3. Wait until 0.0 is displayed.
4. Step on and stand very still while the scale computes your weight.
5. When you hear a beep, step o.
6. Your weight is displayed for a few seconds then the scale will switch o.
PERSONAL DATA ENTRY
1. When 0.0 is displayed press SET button to activate the set-up procedure.
2. Usernumberwillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons as necessary to set the user
number, press SET to confirm.
3. Weightunitswillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons as necessary to set the units
(kg,lb,St), press SET to confirm.
4. Themaleorfemalesymbolwillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons until the correct
symbolisashing,pressSET to confirm.
5. Theagedisplaywillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons as necessary to set your
age, press SET to confirm.
6. Theheightdisplaywillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons as necessary to set your
height, press SET to confirm.
7. Thenormal/athletesymbolwillash.Press▲ or ▼ buttons to set athlete or
normal mode, press SET to confirm.
Note: An athlete is defined as a person who is involved in intense physical activity of
approximately 12 hours per week and who has a resting heart rate of approximately
60 beats per minute or less.
8. Usernumberwillash.Youruserdataisnowset.Waitforthescaletoswitcho.
9. Repeat the procedure for a second user, or to change user details.
WEIGHT & BODY FAT READINGS
1. Positionscaleonarmatsurface.

to select your user number.
5. Your user data will be confirmed, wait until 0.0 is displayed.
6. With bare feet, step onto the scale platform and stand still.
7. When you hear a beep, step o.
8. Your weight will be displayed followed by BMI, body fat, body water and muscle mass.
9. Your weight will be displayed a second time then the scale will turn o.
WARNING INDICATORS
Err Out of range, incorrect operation or poor feet contact. Unstable weight.
Stand still..
O-Ld Weight exceeds maximum capacity.
Lo Replace battery.

Do not compare weight readings from one scale to another as some dierences will
exist due to manufacturing tolerances.
• Placingyourscaleonahard,evenoorwillensurethegreatestaccuracyand
consistency.
• Itisrecommendedthatyoumeasureatthesametimeoftheday,preferablyearly
evening before a meal for the most consistent results.
• Yourscaleroundsupordowntothenearestincrement.
If you weigh yourself twice and get two dierent readings, your weight lies between
the two.
• Cleanyourscalewithadampcloth.Donotusechemicalcleaningagents.
• Donotallowyourscaletobecomesaturatedwithwaterasthiscandamagethe
electronics.
• Treatyourscalewithcare-itisaprecisioninstrument.Donotdropitorjumponit.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
• Youmusthavebarefeetwhenusingbodyfatandtotalbodywatermeasurements.
• Theconditionofyourskinonthebottomofyourfeetcanaectthereading.Toget
the most accurate and consistent reading, wipe your feet with a damp cloth,
leaving them slightly moist before stepping on the scale.
GUARANTEE
This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter will repair or replace the product,
or any part of this product, (excluding batteries) free of charge if within 15 years of
the date of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective workmanship or
materials. This guarantee covers working parts that aect the function of the scale.
It does not cover cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear or damage caused
by accident or misuse. Opening or taking apart the scale or its components will void
the guarantee. Claims under guarantee must be supported by proof of purchase and be
returned carriage paid to Salter (or local Salter appointed agent if outside the UK). Care
should be taken in packing the scale so that it is not damaged while in transit.
This undertaking is in addition to a consumer’s statutory rights and does not aect
