Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA)
Terminal que permite transformar una señal analógica en una
señal IP.
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocole (DHCP)
Protocolo de red cuya misión consiste en garantizar la
configuración automática de los parámetros TCP/IP de un
material informático atribuyendo automáticamente una dirección
IP.
G.711
Norma de codificación de audio, utilizada principalmente en la
telefonía para codificar la voz humana. El uso de esta norma
corresponde a la codificación de la voz en 64 Kbps. El formato
G.711 es ideal para las transmisiones de fax cuando el T38 no
esté disponible.
G0,729
Norma de codificación de audio, utilizada principalmente en la
telefonía para codificar la voz humana. El uso de esta norma
corresponde a la codificación de la voz en 8 Kbps.
La utilizan principalmente los operadores de voz en IP. El
formato G.729 no se utiliza para el modo de Fax pass-through ya
que empeora las señales.
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
Protocolo diseñado para establecer, cambiar y terminar sesiones
multimedia. Se encarga de la autentificación y de la localización
de múltiples participantes, y también de la negociación en los
tipos de medios utilizables por los distintos participantes.
T.38
Protocolo que permite transformar los datos del FAX en
paquetes IP. El fax se comunica en este caso por la red IP en
tiempo real.
Trivial File Transfert Protocol (TFTP)
Protocolo de transmisión de archivos. Este protocolo se utiliza
principalmente para cargar, a distancia, firmware y archivos de
configuración en un material informático.
