Espresso runs
out too quickly.
Coee is ground too coarsely. Use slightly ner grind.

Not enough coee in the lter
basket.
Increase dose of coee.

Extraction’, page 12. Tamp then use the

Coee tamped too lightly. Tamp between or 15–20kg of pressure.
Espresso runs out
around the edge
of the portalter.
Portalter not inserted
in the group head correctly.
Ensure portalter is completely inserted
and rotated until resistance is felt.
There are coee grounds
around the lter basket rim.
Clean excess coee from the rim of the
lter basket to ensure a proper seal in
group head.
Too much coee in the lter
