control for your TV set, SAT-Receiver, video recorder and HiFi

system.

Inserting and changing the batteries

Your easytip is powered by two (alkaline) 1.5 V batteries (IEC LR

03, AAA)

Insert the batteries following the markings in the battery

compartment.

After inserting the batteries, your easytip is adjusted for TV-oper-

ation.

If the LED does not blink as usual when pressing the keys or if

the device you are controlling fails to respond from the usual

distance then the batteries must be changed.

Your easytip includes a intermediate memory which prevents the

easytip from losing its memory during the battery changing.

Please dispose batteries carefully.

a Light-emitting diode (LED)

b Level key to switch to device level (TV, SAT, VCR or in

AUDIO-mode CD, TAPE, TUNER)

c Preselection key to get to AUDIO mode

d Number keys: 0-9

e -/--: single/double digit enter, 10, 1-

f Power/Standby (on/off)

g P+/P-: switch to next or previous channel

h +/– Vol:

For TV, VCR, SAT: TV Volume control

For CD, TAPE, TUNER: Amplifier volume control

i Mute:

For TV, VCR, SAT: TV sound on/off

For CD, TAPE, TUNER: Amplifier sound on/off

j OK/Norm:

For TV: Reset TV set to basic settings and confirmation-key for

TV-menu

For SAT: Confirmation-key for menu of receiver

For VCR and TAPE: Recording (press twice)

k • For TV: Using the teletext-function

• For VCR, CD and TAPE: Stop, Play, Rewind, Fast Forward,

Pause

l • For TV: Function of the Videotext-keys

• For SAT: Radio: Radio operation

• TV/SAT: Switch between TV/SAT

m Menu: calls the menu-function for TV and SAT

n Info: calls the Info-function, Index, S 100

o AV: switch to the AV-channel (e.g.: VCR, SAT)

p Shift: preselection key for adjustment of brightness, color,

contrast, treble, bass, balance.

Programming easytip

Programming by Code entering

1. Switch on the device you want to use your easytip with.

2. Turn to the TV code list (other manual) and look for the name

of your device manufacturer.

3. TV, VCR, SAT

Choose the device you want to adjust by pressing the Level

key (image b) and keep it pressed (for about 5 seconds) until

the LED (image a) blinks twice. Continue with step 4.

CD, TAPE, TUNER

Press the Preselection key (image c) to get to the AUDIO-mo-

de. Then choose the device you want to adjust by pressing the

Level key (image b) and keep it pressed (for about 5 seconds)

until the LED (image a) blinks twice. Continue with step 4.

AMPLIFIER

Press the Preselection key (image c) to get to the AUDIO-mode.

Then choose the device you want to adjust by pressing the Level

key (image b) and keep it pressed (for about 5 seconds) until the

LED (image a) blinks twice. Then press the Preselection key “TU-

NER” (image c) briefly to get to the AMPLIFIER-mode. Continue

with step 4.
