Using the thermostat
Note: Your electric replace insert is equipped with a thermostat. You can therefore consistently
maintain a preset room temperature by means of automatic on and off switching.
• Turn the thermostat control 10 in the direction of rotation or until you hear a clicking sound.
Note: The clicking sound signalises the current room temperature.
• Set the switch for the rst heating stage 8 to position I if you would like a low supply of heat. Set the
switches for the rst 8 and second heating stages 7 to positions I and II if you would like a high
supply of heat.
• Now turn the thermostat control 10 in the direction of rotation until you reach the desired room
temperature.
• Now the heating function begins automatically.
ATTENTION! DANGER OF BURNING! Please observe that the surfaces which radiate heat can
achieve temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Make sure that the unit is switched off and cooled off before
you touch it.
ATTENTION! Please make sure that the unit is not covered with towels, curtains or similar objects.
Otherwise there is danger of overheating. Therefore, always pay attention that the ventilation slots 1
are kept clear.
• As soon as the set room temperature is reached, the heating function of your electric replace insert
switches off automatically.
• As soon as the set room temperature falls short, the heating function of your electric replace insert
switches on automatically.
• Switch off the electric replace insert when it is no longer needed (see “Switching heating function
on / off“).
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before conducting cleaning or maintenance
work please pull the power plug 4 out of the outlet and let the unit completely cool off.
ATTENTION! DANGER OF BURNING! It is imperative to let the unit completely cool off before any
work is done on it.
ATTENTION! Only let an electrical technician conduct repairs.
Cleaning the housing
• In no case should aggressive or corrosive cleaning agents be used. Otherwise damage to the
product could result.
• Clean the housing with a slightly dampened cloth.
• Clean the ventilation slots regularly and thoroughly 1 (e.g. with a vacuum cleaner) so that no dust
can accumulate.
• Clean the glass plate 5 with a damp cloth and if necessary with a glass cleaner.

Cleaning the interior
ATTENTION! RISK OF INJURY! The edges of the electric replace insert are very sharp. Therefore,
please wear protective gloves during all maintenance work.
ATTENTION! In no case should aggressive or corrosive cleaning agents be used. Otherwise product
damage could result.
Note: You require a Phillips screwdriver for this procedure.
• Unscrew the 8 screws 12 on the side parts of the electric replace insert carefully counter clockwise
(see g. C).
• Now carefully remove the front 3 of the electric replace insert (see g. D).
ATTENTION! Please make sure that the glass plate 5 does not fall out of the mounting. Otherwise
damage to the product could result.
• Carefully put down the front 3 , best on a soft underlay such as a blanket or the like.
• Now clean the frame with a damp cloth and if necessary with a mild cleaning agent.
• Clean the glass plate 5 with a damp cloth and if necessary with glass cleaner.
• Now carefully remove the insert with the articial logs 15 (see g. E).
• Clean the insert with the articial logs 15 with a dry, lint-free cloth.
ATTENTION! Do not apply too much pressure. Otherwise the glitter particles on the articial logs can
peel away.
• Clean the reecting surface 16 with a slightly dampened cloth and if necessary wipe it off with a
microber cloth in order to prevent streaking.
• Place the insert with the articial logs 15 back into the holder.
• Carefully place the front 3 back onto the replace insert.
Note: Please pay attention that the holes for the screws on the front 13 and side 14 parts are precisely
aligned.
• Screw the 8 screws 12 on the side parts of the electric replace insert clockwise (see g. C).
Disposal
All the packaging and packaging material consist of environmentally friendly materials. They
can be disposed of in local containers.
Do not throw electric appliances in household waste!
According to European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC regarding old electric and electronic appliances and
conversion to national law, used electric appliances must be collected separately and conveyed to an
environmentally suitable recycling.
Refer to your local government or municipality for the current valid disposal methods for disused
electric appliances.

gemeente of bij het stadhuis opvragen.
