This appliance is for domestic use only; any misuse or use
that does not conform to the instructions will release the
brand from all liability and the warranty will be cancelled.
Always read the instructions carefully before using your
appliance for the first time: use that does not conform to the
instructions will release Rowenta from all liability.
WARRANTY
Wash the foam protection for the motor (16b) with lukewarm
soapy water, rinse out and let dry for at least 12H before
replacing it (Fig.33).
Once it dries, replace the foam protector for the motor (16b)
over the microfilter (16a), then replace the microfiter* cassette
(16) in its compartment (Fig.34).
Replace the bag base in the compartment. Make sure that the
microfilter* cassette is well positioned before closing the lid.
4 • Cleaning your vacuum cleaner
Wipe the body of the appliance and the accessories with a
soft cloth (fig.35). Do not use any detergents or corrosive or
abrasive products.
If your vacuum cleaner will not start
• The appliance is not plugged in. Check that the appliance is
plugged in correctly.
If your vacuum cleaner has no suction power
• Either an accessory or the hose tube is partially blocked:
unblock the accessory or the hose tube.
• The lid is not properly closed: check the placement of the
bag, of the bag base and of the filter cassette and close the lid.
If your vacuum cleaner has less suction power, is noisy or
makes a whistling noise
• Either an accessory or the hose tube is partially blocked:
unblock the accessory or the hose tube.
· The bag is full or saturated with thin dust: replace the
Wonderbag* (17a) or empty the textile bag* (17b).
• The filtration system is saturated (according to model):
- (H)EPA filter* cassette: change the (H)EPA filter* cassette (ref.
ZR0029.01)
- Microfilter* cassette: change the microfilter* (ref. RSRT3735)
by following the instructions and return the cassette to its
original position.
• The mechanical power regulator (18b) is open: close the
mechanical power regulator on the handle.
If the Change Bag Warning Light remains red
• The bag is saturated: replace the Wonderbag* (17a) or
empty the textile bag* (17b).
If the lid does not close (presence detector action 14)
• Make sure that the (H)EPA filter* cassette (15) or the
microfilter* cassette (16) is well positioned.
If it is difficult to move the nozzle
• Reduce the power by opening the mechanical power control
on the handle (18b) or by moving the electronic power control
switch (9) towards the MIN position.
· Make sure that the position of the nozzle for all floor types
corresponds to the floor being vacuumed:
• For rugs and carpets: use the nozzle in the retracted brush
position.
• For wood and hard floors: use the nozzle in the external
brush position.
If the power cord does not wind completely
• The cord slowed down as it was winding up: pull the power
cord out again and press the power cord rewind pedal.
If a problem persists, take your vacuum cleaner to your local
Rowenta Authorized Service Centre or contact the Rowenta
Consummer Service.
TROUBLESHOOTING
IMPORTANT: If your vacuum cleaner stops
functioning properly, first of all turn it off by
pressing the Start/Stop pedal.
* According to model - These parts are specific to certain
models or they are accessories that can be purchased se-
parately.
IMPORTANT: Never use your vacuum cleaner
without a filter cassette.
There is a reason why your device is equipped with
a safety system that includes the filter cassette (the
lid will not close if you have not installed one).
