WARNINGS
It is essential to read these instructions carefully and to observe the following recommendations.

This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no
responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
The guarantee is void in the event of damage resulting from improper use.
Do not operate your appliance in a very dusty and/or humid atmosphere or where there is a fire risk.
Before each use, check that the appliance, power cord and plug are in good general condition.
Never insert objects into the appliance (e.g. needles).
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they

ave been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

lay with the appliance.
The supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning
Never pull on the power cord or the appliance, even to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
Unroll the power cord completely before use.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.

ERY IMPORTANT
The appliance must be installed in accordance with your country’s national regulations.
The appliance must be fully assembled before connecting to the mains.
Never use the appliance in other than an upright position. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface that is not sensitive to humidity. Do not place the humidifier on
wooden furniture or on a hi-fi, TV or other electrical appliance.
Only use tap water, preferably soft. It is recommended to change the water for each use or every 2 to 3 days.
Do not obstruct the intake grills.
Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
Do not carry or move the appliance during operation.
Do not put water in the evaporation duct, it could cause an overflow.
Ensure that the water is emptied from the appliance after it has not been used for 2 to 3 days.
Do not use the appliance near inflammable objects and materials (curtains, aerosols, solvents etc.).
Turn off and disconnect the appliance before moving it.
If it is not to be used for some time, empty the water tank and the vaporisation compartment. Allow to dry.
Only use the special Rowenta anti-scale cartridges (ref XD6020).
If you are away for a long time: turn off the appliance with the button (A) and unplug it.
VOLTAGE
Before using your appliance for the first time, check that the supply voltage matches that indicated on the appliance.
Your appliance can be operated from an electric socket without earth contact. It is a class II (double insulated ) appliance.
OPERATION
Before switching on your appliance, make sure that:
- the appliance is positioned in accordance with these instructions,
- the various parts making up the appliance are correctly in place (nozzle, aroma diffusion support, evaporation duct).
Using your appliance
1- Lift the water tank and unscrew the anti-scale cartridge holder stopper.
2- Tip up the tank, rinse it and fill with cold tap water (minimum 2 litres / maximum 5.5 litres).
3- Replace and tighten the stopper and check that there are no water leaks.
4- Replace the tank on the base.
5- Adjust the nozzle so that the vapour jet is not directed at an obstacle, which could perturb the humidity regulation.
6- Connect the appliance:
7- Wait a few minutes for the water to pass through the anti-scale cartridge and fill the vaporisation compartment.
8- Switch on the appliance by pressing button (A). The appliance will operate automatically until the required relative humidity of 50% is reached.
The humidifier functions can be activated by pressing the buttons located on the control panel.
Each time that a control panel button is pressed, the humidifier emits a beep.
Button A , On/Off:
Press button (14) to switch the appliance on or off.
Button B, Timer: for programming the automatic stop of the appliance.
You have 5 choices: 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h or 16 h of operation.
Press button (B) once to activate the 1-h timer, 1 h appears on the display.
Press button (B) once again to activate the 2-h timer, 2 h appears on the display.
Press button (B) a third time to activate the 4-h timer, 4 h appears on the display.
Press button (B) a fourth time to activate the 8-h timer, 8 h appears on the display.
Press button (B) a fifth time to activate the 16-h timer, 16 h appears on the display.
To cancel the timer function, press button (B) yet again.
