Play the Bonus Group on a
DVD Audio Disc
Some DVD Audio discs contain a Bonus Group
of tracks available only to users with a key
number password. When a disc with such a
Bonus Group is loaded, the word BONUS
appears in the front-panel display. The Bonus
Group is always assigned to the last group
on the disc, i.e. if there are five groups, the
Bonus Group will be
Group 5
.
After obtaining the key number , you can play
the Bonus Group by selecting it with the NU-
MERIC buttons and entering the key number:
With the DVD Audio disc stopped, enter
the number for the Bonus Group, using the
NUMERIC buttons on the remote.
Examples:
To select 1, press: 1
To select 14, press: +10 4
To select 28, press: +10 +10 8
To select 30, press: +10 +10 10
The following prompts appear in the front-
panel display and on the TV screen:
Enter the key number password using the
NUMERIC (0–9) buttons.
Example:
To enter 1234, press:1 2 3 4
If the key number is entered correctly, play-
back of the Bonus Group begins automati-
cally. If the wrong password is entered, the
prompts reappear. Try again.
To clear the prompts from the screen, press
STOP
.
Opening the disc drawer or turning the unit
off removes the successfully-entered pass-
word from memory. It will need to be re-
entered the next time.
