4. VACUUM SEALING
Fill the container leaving at least 1-3 cm of space to its upper rim.
Make sure the rim of the container as well as the seals are clean and undamaged.
Then position the suction nozzle (4) of the appliance onto the suction opening of the container
and gently press down on the lid with the appliance.
Now press the vacuum button (3) and keep it pressed until the green lamp is glowing without
interruption. This shows that the preset vacuum level has been reached.
In order to obtain a higher vacuum level you can extend the vacuum sealing process for
a further 10-15 seconds.
Vacuum sealing with containers, jars and bottle caps
The containers are perfect for frequent use and for storing dry and fragile food, such as
biscuits, our, coffee or rice. You can choose from a wide assortment. The containers are
suitable for storage in the pantry, fridge and freezer as well as for defrosting and reheating
food in microwave ovens (remove the lid for this).
a) Rectangular Family containers (1/1.5 litres)
Close the safety locks (9c) before starting the vacuum
sealing process. Then vacuum-seal the container as
described under 4.
During the vacuum sealing process the vacuum
indicator (9a) will become depressed and maintain this
position as long as the container is vacuum-sealed.
In case the indicator should resume a raised position,
this means that there is no longer a vacuum inside the
container.
To open the container, pull up the quick release (9b) rst.
Then release the safety locks (9c).
b) Cylindrical Family containers (0.75/1.5/3 litres)
Vacuum-seal the container as described under 4.
To open the container, press the ‚PUSH‘ button (12) located in the middle of the lid.
