4.) Switching on and grating foods
Hold the grip of the filled appliance and press the on/off push button to
switch the grater on.
Keep the button pressed. Releasing the button will stop the appliance.
The pressure applied on the grip lever presses the food on the grater
drum, where the filling will be grated.
Do not apply too much pressure on the lever, as this might block the grater
drum.
The grated food collects inside the rotating grater drum. If – during
grating – the appliance is in a slight slant position, you can grate the
food directly on a plate or into a container. This is just perfect for e.g.
grating parmesan directly over your pasta at table.
5.) Switching off
To switch off the appliance, release the on/off push button.
Cleaning and maintenance
ATTENTION: Hazard of injury!
Always disconnect the unit from the mains plug before
cleaning!
Never immerse base unit, charger unit and mains plug in
water or clean them under running water!
Do not touch the sharp grater drum!
Handle cutting tools with care to avoid injuries!
Clean the appliance and the grater drum regularly. Food residues must be removed before they dry up
to avoid the formation of mould and bad smell.
Remove all detachable parts form the base unit.
Clean base unit and charger unit with a damp cloth and wipe them dry afterwards.
The grater drum is made of stainless steel and is easy to clean. Dismount the drum and put it into hot
dishwater. Brush it with a washing-up or bottle brush to clean the individual grater edges. Dry
thoroughly afterwards.
The press insert is detachable. Clean it in some dishwater and wipe it dry.
Do not use any abrasives or solvents for cleaning!
Do not treat it with a steam jet appliance!
