Initial use
For a start, please clean the fondue pot (1), the grill plate (2) and the raclette pans
in warm water with a little amount of dishwashing detergent, then dry them thor-
oughly. Following that spread some cooking oil on the coated grill plate and rub it
dry with kitchen paper.
Prior to initial operation, the heating elements’ protective layer has to be burned in.
In order to do so, please heat up the appliance at full power for about
10 minutes (set both regulators to maximum temperature). Please do not be
bothered by the slight and harmless smokes and smells that will be generated for
a short while.
Important notes
During operation the fondue pot must never be put on the appliance in empty
condition, it always must contain a sufcient quantity of liquid. Touch the hot pot
at the especially insulated handle only.
During operation the grill plate must always be inserted at its specied position.
With the small shovels the food cooked in the pans and on the grill plate can be
moved or the cheese be pushed out of the pans. You can also use other utensils
made of wood or plastic. However make sure that those are not in contact with
hot areas for a longer period of time. Under no circumstances must you use any
cooking utensils made of metal as the non-stick coating might be damaged
otherwise.
