And this is how to operate the appliance
The standard oven model comes equipped with an enamelled roasting tray, a chrome-
plated grill grid and a crumb tray. Depending on requirements, the grill grid can be slid in
the tracking with the arch up or down. Always insert the crumb tray underneath the lower
heating element.
1. Selecting the type of function
Use the lower knob to set the function. You can choose between ‘upper & lower heat’,
‘only lower heat’ and ‘only upper heat’.
The model BG 1500 is furthermore equipped with a circulating air function, which you can
set in addition via the appropriately marked push button switch whenever required.
2. Setting the temperature
With the upper rotary knob you can set the requested baking temperature.
3. How to switch the appliance on
To start, turn the middle rotary knob to the right as far as it will go and then back to the
requested operating time = set the timer or choose “M” = continuous operation. The clock
will switch the appliance off automatically after the selected period of time has passed and
you will hear a short ring. The selected period of time can be adjusted at any time even
during operation by turning the knob to the left or to the right. If you select continuous
operation “M”, the appliance will not switch off automatically, but the rotary knob has to
be re-set to "0" in order to switch it off.
Once the pilot lamp goes out the selected temperature has been reached. The thermostat
adjusts itself to maintain the temperature which you can see by the pilot lamp going on
and off during operation.
The interior illumination of the oven is connected with the middle rotary knob (timer) and
therefore serves as a pilot lamp for operation at the same time.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug the appliance and let it cool before cleaning!
The accessories can be cleaned in warm water with some dishwashing detergent. Wipe
casing, interior oven and door with a moist cloth and dry. Never immerse the appliance in
water and make sure no steam or water can infiltrate the underside!
Under no circumstances must you use any scouring agents or solvents, nor oven sprays!!
