PREPARING THE CAMERA
Preparation
1. Attach the camera strap.
2. Open the battery/SD memory card cover.
3. Insert the batteries with correct orientation
as shown.
4. Insert an SD memory card.
The camera has 16 MB internal
memory for image storage but you can
load an SD memory card to expand the
camera’s memory capacity.
Be sure to format the memory card with
this camera before its initial usage.
5. Close the battery/SD memory card cover
and make sure it is locked securely.
Be careful not to drop the batteries when opening or closing the battery cover.
Due to the characteristics of alkaline batteries, camera performance may be less than
expected. AA alkaline batteries are recommended only in case of emergency and for checking
the camera’s functions. Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are a superior choice for performance
and economy.
To prevent valuable data from being accidentally erased from an SD card, you can slide the
write protect tab (on the side of the SD memory card) to “LOCK”.
To save, edit, or erase data on an SD memory card, you must unlock the card.
