3.1 Prikpen voorbereiden
AST-dopje
Met de prikpen kan bloed uit een vingertop of van
andere (alternatieve) prikplaatsen worden verkregen.
De prikpen kan op 11 prikdiepten worden ingesteld en
hierdoor aan uw individuele huidtype worden aange-
past.
De prikpen kan zowel afzonderlijk als bevestigd aan de
meter worden gebruikt.
Als u bloed van alternatieve prikplaatsen (bal van de
hand, onderarm, bovenarm, kuit of dijbeen) wilt afne-
men, moet u het normale, zwarte dopje van de prikpen
vervangen door een speciaal AST-dopje (AST is de
afkorting voor Alternative Site Testing). Als het AST-
dopje niet bij de verpakking is ingesloten, kunt u dit bij
de afdeling Customer Service van de lokale vertegen-
woordiging van Roche Diagnostics bestellen.
Lees daarnaast de gebruiksaanwijzing van het AST-
dopje goed door, voordat u bloed van een alternatieve
prikplaats gebruikt voor een bloedglucosemeting.
