vels of the transmitter stick (left and right): mark the field and
enter the values required using the arrow buttons. The setting
is displayed in the field as a percentage value. You can also
enter a percentage value in the ‘Damping’ field; this determi-
nes how long the function is to remain active once the change
in setting has been carried out.
In the bottom line you can define a point for both sides which
represents the position from which the function is to take
effect: move the transmitter stick to the desired position, and
mark the associated field. The fields display the position in the
form of a percentage figure.
The illustration below shows the screen after the programming
of the ‘Pitch-axis -> throttle’ mixer function has been comple-
ted.

19.6 THROTTLE MIXER
SWASHPLATE -> THROTTLE MIXER
This function is used to program a mixer which affects the
position of the thr
ottle servo when a ‘pitch-axis’ (elevator),
‘r
oll-axis’ (aileron) or ‘tail rotor’ command is applied at the
transmitter. The settings are adjusted separately. Once set up
correctly, this mixer ensures that motor speed is not affected
when you operate any of the three functions mentioned above.
In addition to the mixer it is possible to program an accelera-
tion function for the throttle servo to obtain the optimum cor-
rective setting.
With the ‘Helicopter’ model type already selected, mark this
option in the Model menu. The screen display now looks like this:
The first step is to activate each mixer in the standard fashion:
simply mark the Status field, and the label in the field changes
from ‘INA’ to ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’, according to the physical position
of the switch. The effects and method of setting the ‘Glob’ or
‘Sepa’ mode have already been described; the function is pro-
grammed using the ‘Mode’ column. Define a switch and its
direction of operation in the usual way, using the ‘Switch’
column. The default setting is ‘NONE’, i.e. the mixer is perma-
nently switched on.
Next you select linear (LINEAR) or centre (CTRM) trim mode
for each of the three mixers in the ‘MODE’ field. With the linear
trim type the trim range is effective over the full range of servo
travel; in Centre mode it only affects the area around the cen-
tre position.
The mixer function is actually set up with the help of the asso-
ciated curve in the sub-menu: mark the appropriate line in the
‘Mix’ column, and the curve display appears. The curve can
then be programmed using the familiar procedure: the first
step is to select the curve type, after which you can program
the values required. The method of programming a mixer
curve is exactly as described in Section 17.2 on page 57; ple-
ase refer back to that section if you are not sure.
The screen shot above shows the programming of a ‘Roll ->
throttle’ curve. The set mode ‘Glob’ or ‘Sepa’ and the assig-
ned trigger switch are displayed In the left area, together with
the current status, reflecting to the physical position of the
switch.
An acceleration function can also be programmed in a sepa-
rate field. This function is described in full in Section 19.3
(Acceleration function) on page 88. You can enter a separate
percentage value (Rate) for each mixer, for both maximum tra-
