QUICK START
This portion of the “owner’s manual” is for reference only and should be used only after thoroughly reviewing the entire “owners manual”.
GAUGES AND CONTROLS
KEY SWITCH
The key is located on the right side of the motorcycle, on the battery box. They key switch has three positions. The
first position is the off position (turned counter-clock wise). This will cause the motorcycle to be inoperable. The
second position is the “on” position (turned one position clock-wise). This position enables all electrical equipment.
In this seond position all electrical equipment can be turned off and on using the “RUN-STOP” switch on the right
handlebar. With the key “ON” and the “Run” switch in the “OFF” position none of the electrical equipment will be
functional. With the key “ON” and the “Run-Stop” switch in the “ON” position the motorcycle’s electrical equipment
will be operational. The third position does the same as the second position with the addition of the auxillary driving
lights (requires additional accessory equipment).
TURN SIGNAL OPERATION
There is a button on each (left and right) switch panel that will make the turn signals flash respectively. The turn
signals on this 2006 are SELF CANCELLING. Press and release the turn signal button for five flashes. For
endless flashing, hold the button down through one flash. To cancel, press and release the signal button. To
indicate an emergency, both turn signal buttons can be pressed at the same time.
THE HORN BUTTON
The horn button is located on the left side switch panel and is clearly marked.
HEAD LIGHT BUTTON
The HIGH/LOW selector button is a rocker switch located on the left side switch panel. The normal operating
position for this switch is “low beam”.
START BUTTON
The START button is located on the right side switch panel.
RUN-STOP BUTTON
This button is a rocker switch located on the right side switch panel. This button should be used to start and stop
the engine operation. In the event of an emergency during operation, press the STOP button and the motorcycle’s
engine will become inoperable.
LED’s
LED (Light Emitting Diode) will not drain the battery. They consume a tiny amount of electricity and will not affect
the charge in your battery.
GAS TANK
This motorcycle is equipped with one 5 or 4.2 gallon gas tank with two separate compartments and two fill caps.
The separate compartments are joined by a crossover hose in the front of the tank. To fill the tank, both caps
should be removed and both sides filled. (The cross flow is too slow to allow filling from one side.) The caps are
