Als je zekering is doorgebrand dan zal je verlichting en claxon zeker niet werken. ( hiermee kan je dus checken
of je zekering nog goed is…) De zekering zit nabij je accu. Verwijder hie rvoor de kap die over je batterij zit.
Zorg er altijd voor dat je de juiste zekering in huis hebt. Niet alleen de lengte maar ook het ju iste amperage is
van belang. ( de zekering is meestal 15 A = 15 ampere ) Vervang zonodig de zekering en voer de test uit zoals
hierboven is beschreven.
Belangrijk: gebruik nooit een zekering met een hoger amperage dan
aangegeven. Hierdoor kan korstluit ing en brand ontstaan.
De scooter heeft een onderhoudsvrije accu. Deze hoeft U dus niet te control-
eren en/of bij te vullen. Het enige wat je af en toe moet controleren is even-
tuele oxidatie aan de polen. Als dit zo is, verwijder dan de o xidative met een
kleine staalborstel.
Voorko m vermogensverlies van de accu door deze los te koppelen als je de
scooter een lange tijd niet gebruikt. Sluit in dat geval de accu aan op een
druppellader. Deze zorgt ervoor dat uw accu optimal geladen blijft. Als u de
accu in de scooter laat zitten zorg er dan voor dat de negatieve pool ( - ) is
losgekoppeld. Bij werkzaamheden aan of met de batterij altijd zorgen dat je contactsleutel op „off‟ staat.
Draai altijd eerst de Negatieve pool-kant ( - ) los en daarna pas de positieve kant ( + ). Zorg er altijd voor dat
je een gelijkwaardige accu aanschaft, als de oude vervangen dient te worden.
Er zijn verschillende druppellader te koop. Een goede druppellader ( uit eigen ervaring ) is de Optimate 4.
Het woord druppel zegt het al: hij druppelt de accu bij, zodat deze altijd vol blijft.
Ik heb zelf onlangs een schakelaar ( dubbelpolig 3 standen ) gemaakt
om te voorkomen dat de accu leeg loopt tijdens langdurige stilstand. In
stand 3 is hij gekoppeld aan de laadstekker, waarop ik de acculader
rechtstreeks aansluit op de accu. Deze kan dan ( aangesloten ) de hele
winter b lijven zitten. Het is maar een idée…….
