Operation
Connect a consumer load to the “front socket” (B).
Please consult the section “Technical Data” for the consumer load’s permis-
sible maximum power.
By using the “ON” or “OFF” button for the switching channel, on the handheld trans-
mitter, the radio controlled socket is turned on/off again, using the same set switching
channel (control-LED (A) lights up or turns off).
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disas-
sembled for any reason.
Remove connected consumer loads from the radio controlled switch socket and re-
move it from the mains socket, before cleaning the product.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions since these could damage the surface of the casing or
impair operation.
Handling
The radio-controlled switch socket is only intended to be used in dry,
closed indoor locations.
Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installa-
tion location and during transportation:
- Direct sunlight
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery
or loudspeakers
Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor
destroyed. Never disassemble the product! There are no serviceable
parts inside.
Check the product for damage before each use!
If you recognize damages do no longer use the product!
There is danger to life through an electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- the device is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation
Range
The transmission range of the radio signals, between the handheld transmitter and the
radio controlled switch sockets, is up to 30 m under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called “open space range” (the range the
transmitter and receiver are visible to each other, without disturbing influ-
ences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, ceilings of rooms, etc. be-
tween the transmitter and the receiver, which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the wireless transmission, no specific
range can be guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family house.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
Coated/metallised insulated glass
Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
Proximity to human bodies
Broadband interferences, e.g., in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile
phones, radio controlled headphones, radio controlled speakers, radio controlled
weather stations, baby phones, etc.)
Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
Proximity to computers or other electrical devices that are improperly shielded or
operated without any cover
Disposal
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to cur-
rent statutory requirements.
Declaration of Conformity (DOC)
