Het waarschuwingslampje verschijnt
op het instrumentenpaneel om u te waar-
schuwen dat de motor op stand-by staat.
De uitrustingen van de auto blijven in wer-
king terwijl de motor stilstaat.
De motor start weer zodra u het koppe-
lingspedaal indrukt om naar een versnelling
te schakelen.
FUNCTIE STOP AND START (1/3)
Dit systeem zorgt voor een lager brandstof-
verbruik en vermindert de uitstoot van broei-
kasgassen.
Het systeem wordt automatisch ingescha-
keld wanneer de auto begint te rijden.
Tijdens het rijden zet het systeem de motor
af (op stand-by) wanneer de auto stilstaat
(file, voor een stoplicht, enz.).
Werkingscondities van het
systeem
De motor wordt op stand-by gezet als:
– de auto na de laatste stilstand heeft gere-
den;
– de versnellingshendel in de neutrale
stand staat (neutraal);
– het koppelingspedaal wordt losgelaten;
en
– de auto langzamer rijdt dan 3 km/u.
Bijzonderheid van het automatisch weer
starten van de motor
Onder bepaalde omstandigheden kan de
motor vanzelf weer starten om uw veiligheid
en uw comfort te waarborgen.
Dat kan zich met name voordoen wanneer:
– de buitentemperatuur te laag of te hoog
is (lager dan circa 0 °C of hoger dan circa
30 °C);
– de functie “helder zicht” is ingeschakeld
(raadpleeg de paragraaf “airconditioning”
in hoofdstuk 3);
– de accu onvoldoende geladen is;
– de rijsnelheid van de auto hoger is dan
7 km/u (bij afdalen);
– het rempedaal herhaaldelijk wordt inge-
drukt of er vaak wordt geremd;
– ...
Bijzonderheid: wanneer het passagierspor-
tier wordt geopend, wordt onder bepaalde
omstandigheden de motor niet automatisch
opnieuw gestart.
Wanneer de motor op stand-by
staat, werkt de rembekrachti-
ging niet.
Rijd niet met de auto wanneer
de motor op stand-by staat (het
waarschuwingslampje
wordt op het instrumentenpa-
neel weergegeven).
Als u uit de auto stapt, waarschuwt een
geluidssignaal u dat de motor op stand-
by staat en niet is afgezet.
Voordat u uit de auto stapt,
moet u het contact uitzet-
ten (raadpleeg de paragraaf
“Starten, stoppen van de
motor”).
