Bij het inschakelen van de achteruitversnel-
ling detecteert het systeem de meeste voor-
werpen die zich op minder dan ongeveer
1,20 meter van de achterkant van de auto
bevinden, er klinkt een geluidssignaal.
Aide au parking

Ultrasoon detectors die, afhankelijk van de
auto, in de bumper voor en/of achter van
de auto ingebouwd zijn, “meten” de afstand
tussen de auto en een obstakel.
Deze meting vertaalt zich in geluidssignalen
waarvan de frequentie toeneemt naarmate
het obstakel dichterbij komt, totdat het een
continu geluid wordt als het obstakel onge-
veer 30 cm van de auto verwijderd is.
 met het display 1 is de omgeving van
de auto te zien als aanvulling op de geluids-
signalen.



Het systeem schakelt uit:
– naargelang van de auto, als de auto
langer dan ongeveer vijf secondes stil-
staat en er een obstakel is gedetecteerd
(bijvoorbeeld in een file, enz.);
– in de neutrale stand of in de stand en
van een automatische transmissie.
– als de auto sneller dan ongeveer 10 km/u
rijdt.
Deze functie is een extra hulp
die door middel van geluids-
signalen de afstand tussen de
auto en een obstakel aangeeft
bij een manoeuvre.
Deze functie kan in geen enkel geval de
oplettendheid en verantwoordelijkheid
van de bestuurder vervangen bij het ma-
noeuvreren.
De bestuurder moet altijd op zijn hoede
blijven voor plotselinge gebeurtenissen
die tijdens het rijden zich kunnen voor-
doen: let dus altijd op of er een bewe-
gend obstakels is (zoals een kind, dier,
kinderwagen, fiets) of een te klein of
smal obstakel (grote steen, dun paaltje)
tijdens de manoeuvre.
