AANVULLENDE BEVESTIGINGSMIDDELEN
Hier volgt een aantal aanwijzingen om elke belemmering bij het opblazen van de airbag(s) of verwonding door rondvlie-
gende voorwerpen te voorkomen.
De airbag is een aanvullende bescherming bij het gebruik van de autogordel. Beide organen vormen een veilig-
heidssysteem. De gordel moet altijd worden gedragen. Het niet dragen kan bij een ongeval de inzittenden bloot-
stellen aan zeer zware verwondingen en de gevolgen van de werking van de airbag verergeren.
Bij een botsing, zelfs een zware, tegen de achterkant of bij het over de kop gaan van de auto worden de gordelspanners of
de airbags niet altijd geactiveerd. Klappen onder de auto zoals stoepen, gaten in het wegdek, stenen, kunnen deze syste-
men activeren.
• Het is streng verboden zelf werkzaamheden uit te voeren aan airbagsystemen (rekeneenheid, bedrading enz.). Deze
mogen uitsluitend door speciaal opgeleide RENAULT-monteurs worden gecontroleerd en gerepareerd.
• Om te voorkomen dat de airbag(s) ten onrechte wordt opgeblazen of juist niet als dat wel nodig zou zijn, mag uitslui-
tend deskundig RENAULT-personeel aan het systeem werken.
• Laat het airbagsysteem controleren na (een poging tot) diefstal van de auto.
• Als u de auto uitleent of verkoopt, breng de nieuwe berijder/eigenaar dan op de hoogte van deze bijzonderheden door
hem dit instructieboekje bij de auto te leveren.
• Laat de gaspatro(o)n(en) door een RENAULT-dealer verwijderen voordat de auto wordt gesloopt.
