properfront-to-rear balanceand weight;toooen virtuallyALL thepowerandweightina theater

comesfrom thefrontanditproduces unnaturalweighngas wellas hotspots.Byplacinga rearREL

diagonallyopposite,basstransectstheroomona tangentandhas theeﬀect ofgreatly smoothing

overallin-roomresponseofyourRELs.This unitneednot beaduplicateof your primaryREL, instead

itshouldmatchwellwithyour surround speakers.

3Connect to thecenter channelathirdREL usingONLY theHIGHLEVEL connecon. Thismay beeasily

accomplishedbyconnecng directly to theconneconterminalsonthe rearof thecenterchannel

speaker. Todo so,ﬁrsttwisttheredandyellowleads togetherandconnect tothe posiveterminal,

thenconnect theremaining blacklead to thenegave(black) terminalon therearofthe speaker. The

purposeofthe third“center” RELis to ensure thecenterchannel cankeepupwith thescale, weight

anddynamicsthe mainsystemnow has.Locaon shouldbeanywherefromthe oppositecornerofthe

front wall tosomewhereinthe middleofthe front wall, listenfor bestintegraon withthe center

channelspeaker.Some peopleprefertousethe RELas anactualpediment orstand fortheircenter

channel,thechoice isyours.Again,thisunit needNOT bean exactduplicate oftheprimary RELbut

shouldbechosen forits acouscability tomate seamlesslywithyourcenterchannel.
