Install the adjustment screws (d) with the nuts on the gate compartment (a) at the top and the
bottom. Ill. 1 and 2.
Art. No. 46201: Insert nuts (e) at the top and the bottom in the slits of the crossbar before
attaching the adjustment screws. Ill. 1 and 2.
Attach the hinge bolts (c) on the gate compartment (b) at the top and the bottom. Ill. 3 and 4.

Note: The final adjustment of the fastening screw is executed later.
Place the gate compartments (a) and (b) flush next to each other so that there is no gap between
the gate compartments, Ill. 5 and 6.
Push these apart so that the distance between the last gate slat and the wall or door surface is at
least 30 mm and maximum 62 mm. Ill. 7
Connect the 2 gate compartments (a) and (b) with the connection screws (h) and the screw
sleeves (i) at the top and the bottom. Ill. 8 and 9. Ensure that the gate compartments are
attached firmly to each other and that the vertical slats are flush. Screw the screws tight with a
Phillips screwdriver.
Mark the drill holes on the hinge side with the help of the mounting template (o). These are
marked with the name “hinge”. Ill. 17, 18 and 19. First, only the lower hinge parts (f) are attached
using the wood screws (j). Ill. 17, 20 and 21.
(In another mounting surface use suitable screws and anchors)
The screw holes for the closing side must be marked using the mounting template (o). These are
marked with the name “latch”. Ill. 12, 13 and 14.
Optionally, the stoppers (m) can be inserted either on the left or right. For this purpose, insert the
stoppers (m) on the side in the hinge supports (k) and (l), Ill. 10 and 11, before they are
attached using the wood screws (j). Ill. 15 and 16.
Hang the hinge bolts (c) into the two lower hinge parts (f) on the gate. Then install the upper hinge
parts (g). Ill. 22 and 23. Adjust the adjusting screw so that the hinge supports (k) and (l) can lock
into place well at the top and the bottom. Ill. 24 and 25.

opens completely and does not present a tripping hazard.
Here, the direction of opening shall be limited by the
installation of the supplied stopper (m) (Step 5)

(B) If the safety barrier is used at the bottom
of the stairs, it should be positioned in the front
of the lowest tread possible.
