Backrest Recline Adjustment

The purpose of the backrest recline adjustment is to help the

child restraint system t at against your vehicle’s seating

surfaces. The backrest has three positions. However, due to

great variation in vehicle seating shape and design, this child

restraint is NOT suitable for all vehicle seats. Therefore, you

MUST read and understand all of the information in the section,

“Learning About Your Vehicle,” which covers the types of vehicle

seats that CANNOT be used with this child restraint system.

If the backrest recline needs to be

adjusted to properly t your vehicle

seat, follow these steps:

1. While holding the Vivo / Vivo

lite seat cushion down, lift the

backrest and rotate it to the

desired position. The Vivo / Vivo

lite backrest and bottom should

t close to the vehicle seat

cushions with no large gaps.

2. Release the backrest. You

should be able to feel the

backrest engage into one of the

two positions. Double check by

rocking the backrest forward and

back that it is secure in one of

the adjustment positions.
