Dit is een seriële communicatie standaard data poort.

Satelliet schotel

Dit is een schotelvormige antenne, welke bedoeld is om signalen

te ontvangen van een satelliet. De schotel vangt de signalen

voor doorgifte aan de LNB.

SCART

Dit is een 21 pin connector, welke gebruikt wordt voor het

aansluiten van de satelliet ontvanger aan de TV en de VCR.

Gecodeerde Satelliet TV programma’s

Sommige satelliet TV programma’s worden gecodeerd

uitgezonden. Een smartcard, en mogelijk ook een Common

Interface Module, zijn dan nodig om deze programma’s te

bekijken.
