Safety tips
DUTIES FOR THE TRAINER:
➞Become familiar with the basic jumps and safety tips. In order
to avoid injuries or the risk of injury, take care that all safety
tips are observed and make sure that the jumpers learn the
basic jumps before you begin with advanced jumps.
➞All jumpers must be supervised regardless of their ability or
age.
➞The trampoline should never be used if it is damp, damaged,
dirty or worn out. Check the trampoline before use.
➞Make sure there are no objects in the immediate vicinity of the
trampoline, that is, over, under or next to it.
➞Take care that the trampoline is safeguarded to prevent any
misuse or unsupervised use. In winter or during extended
damp periods the trampoline is to be kept disassembled in a
place protected from wind and weather.
➞The trampoline may only be set up on a level and shock-absor-
bing surface area allowing at least 2.5 meters in each direction.
Take care that the trampoline has a stable and secure position.
There should not be any tree limbs or roof eaves above it.
DUTIES FOR THE JUMPER:
➞Do not use the trampoline after consuming alcohol or drugs.
➞Put aside any sharp or hard objects before using the trampo-
line.
➞ Do not jump or bounce too high over a long period of time.
➞Always keep the bounce mat within view, in order to avoid inju-
ries. Always jump at dead center. Read the section on workout
tips to learn how to do the basic jumps. IMPORTANT NOTICE:
To terminate jumps, bend your knees when your feet land on
the mat. Always aim for a controlled jump. A controlled jump is
always characterized by your landing on the same spot where
you jumped from. If at any time you have the feeling you are
losing control, stop bouncing.
➞There should never be more than once person at a time on
the trampoline.
➞You should always be supervised by a trainer whenever you
are on the trampoline.
➞
Climbing on or off should be done with caution and control.
➞Never jump up to the trampoline from down below, or jump off
it to the ground.
➞Never use it as a device to jump onto or into other objects.
➞First learn and master the basic jumps before trying more
difficult ones.
