• Stop the clay from drying out by placing it in an airtight
container or plastic bag.
• Clean hands and accessories in water.
• Keep your hands and the worktop damp when working
with the clay.
• On the wheel, use your fi ngers rather than your palms.

Die fertige Wulst ein wenig trocknen lassen,
damit sie fest genug ist, um die nächste Wulst
zu tragen. Ist die Wulst zu trocken, einfach in
einem feuchten Tuch für 30 Minuten in einen
Plastikbeutel geben und schon ist sie wieder
formbar.
CONSEILS PRATIQUES
Au fur et à mesure laisse un peu sécher la pièce pour qu’elle
soit assez ferme pour supporter le colombin suivant. Si elle est
trop sèche tu peux l’envelopper dans un linge humide et sac
plastique, en 30 minutes elle redevient malléable.
CONSIGLI UTILI
Fai asciugare un po’ il colombino pronto perché acquisisca
abbastanza stabilità per sorreggere il prossimo colombino. Se è
troppo secco, avvolgilo in un panno umido e mettilo per 30 minuti
in un sacchetto di plastica. Dopo puoi modellarlo di nuovo.
PRACTICAL TIPS
As you go along, let the piece dry a little so that it is fi rm enough
to support the following coil. If it becomes too dry, you can wrap
it in a damp tea towel and a plastic bag and in 30 minutes it will be
pliable again.

Als je doorgaat, laat het stuk dan drogen zodat het stevig
genoeg is om de volgende vlecht te dragen. Als het te droog
is kun je het in een vochtige theedoek en een plastic zak
wikkelen en na 30 minuten is het weer fl exibel.

erteile ein wenig Schlicker am
oberen Rand
Damit der Schlicker besser haftet, bürste
den oberen Rand der Tonform mit einer alten
Zahnbürste. Drücke die Zahnbürste in den
Schlicker und reibe vorsichtig den Rand, um den
natürlichen Kleber zu verteilen.
Enduis la base de barbotine
Pour une meilleure adhésion brosse les bords avec une vieille
brosse à dents. Trempe ta brosse à dents dans la barbotine et
frotte doucement le bord pour déposer la colle naturelle.
Spargi dell’ argilla liquida sul bordo superiore
Per una migliore aderenza, spazzola il bordo superiore della
forma di argilla con un vecchio spazzolino da denti.
Premi lo spazzolino nell’argilla liquida e friziona con
cautela il bordo per spargere il legante naturale.
Coat the base with slip
For improved bonding, brush the edges with an old
toothbrush. Dip your toothbrush in the slip and gently rub
the edges to coat it with the natural glue.
Bedek de pot met kleisuspensie
Om de hechting te verbeteren, borstel je de hoeken met
een oude tandenborstel. Doop je tandenborstel in de
kleisuspensie en wrijf de hoeken zachtjes in om hem met
de natuurlijke lijm een laag te geven.
Setze die Wülste zusammen
Hierzu musst Du Schlicker auf eine Wulst geben.
Verstreiche den Schlicker auf der Wulst und
verbinde beides, indem Du mit dem gezackten
Modellierstab auf der Wulst von oben nach unten
gehst. Anschließend glättest Du die Wulst mit einem
Messer und angefeuchteten Fingern.
Assemble les colombins
Pose le colombin et joins-le avec de la barbotine. Soude
les extrémitées avec de la barbotine et l’ébauchoir dentelé,
de la base vers le haut et du colombin vers le bas. Lisse
avec le couteau, doigts mouillés.
Assembla i colombini
Per farlo devi mettere dell’argilla liquida su un colombino.
Stendi l’argilla liquida sul colombino e unisci i due
componenti spostando la bacchetta dentellata sul colombino
dall’alto verso il basso. Liscia poi il colombino con un coltello
e con le dita inumidite.

ssemble the coils
Place the coil on the base and join the ends together with
slip. Bond coil with base, using slip and the serrated edge
scraper, working upwards from the base and downwards
from the coil. Smooth with the knife, using wet fi ngers.
De vlechten plaatsen
Plaats de vlecht op de basis en maak de uiteinden aan
elkaar met kleisuspensie. Verbind vlecht en basis met de
kleisuspensie en de gekartelde boetseerstok, door vanaf de
basis naar boven te werken en vanaf de vlecht naar beneden.
Maak het glad met het mes, gebruik natte vingers.

die letzte Wulst muss wieder größer sein.
Forme en col :
Mettre d’abord un colombin plus grand (évasé) puis plus petit, puis
un dernier plus grand.
Forma a collo:
Prendi prima un colombino più grande (largo) e metti sopra dei colombini più
piccoli. L’ultimo colombino deve essere di nuovo più grande.
Neck shape:
First use a larger (wider) coil on the piece, then a smaller one,
then a fi nal larger one.
Hals vorm:
Gebruik eerst een grotere (wijdere) vlecht op het stuk, dan
een kleinere, en dan als laatste een grotere.
