I alle nybygg anbefaler vi på det sterkeste at det klargjøres for direkte tilførsel av luft
utenfra.
Utilstrekkelig tilførsel av luft utenfra kan medføre undertrykk i rommet der ildstedet
står, og dermed dårlig forbrenning, dårligere utnyttelse av veden og nedsoting av pipa.
Eventuelle luftrister skal plasseres på en slik måte at lufttilførselen ikke blokkeres.
Air tilslutningen (tilbehør) kan monteres under ildstedet.

Ovnen er testet iht. EN 13229:2001, EN 13229:2001/A1:2003, EN 13229:2001/
A2:2004 og NS 3058/3059 for fyring med kløvet, tørr bjørk, og godkjent for løvtre/bar-
tre. Veden skal ha en fuktighet på 15-20 % og en maksimal lengde på 30 cm.
Å fyre med våt ved resulterer i soting, miljøproblemer og dårlig fyringsøkonomi. Ved fra
nyfelte trær inneholder cirka 60-70 % vann og er fullstendig uegnet for vedfyring. En
god tommelfingerregel er å la ved fra nyfelte trær ligge i stabel til tørking i minst et år.
Ved med en diameter på over 100 mm bør kløves. Uansett størrelse bør ved altid ha
minst èn overflate uten bark.
Vi fraråder å fyre med lakkert, laminert eller impregnert treverk, treverk med
kunst-stoffbelegg, malt treverk, sponplater, kryssfiner, husholdningsavfall,
papirbriketter eller steinkull, ettersom dette ved forbrenning avgir en illeluk-
tende røyk som kan være giftig.
Hvis det fyres med materialene nevnt ovenfor eller med større vedmengder enn anbe-
falt, belastes ovnen med mer varme, noe som medfører høyere skorsteinstemperatur og
lavere virkningsgrad. Ovn og skorstein kan ta skade, og garantien bortfaller.
