Connected
Tap the GPRS Monitor icon on the Taskbar to get detailed information such as:
n Trafc (for the session, day, or week, depending on your settings)
n Costs (for the session, day, or week, depending on your settings)
n Data block usage (shows how much of the current data block you have already
transferred)
n Current Speed
n Day inclusive amount left
n Month inclusive amount left
n Connection usage graph for the past 7 days
The Pop-Up Window also contains information about the current prole and allows you to
establish/nish the GPRS connection. You can tap on the graph and see detailed charts, or
tap on the prole to change it. If you tap on the battery or backlight bar, the corresponding
Settings screen will be shown.
Changing proles
Usually there is more than one connection that can be used, or there are different settings
for different situations. GPRS roaming charges typically vary according to different mobile
service providers. For this reason, you can enable proles within GPRS Monitor to measure
the connection differently in these situations.
1. Select Start > Programs > GPRS Monitor.
2. From the Tools menu, select Proles.
3. In the Proles dialog that appears, you can change active proles, rename them, and clear
trafc history for a certain prole.
If all your proles are congured to use different connections, you can check the Auto
change prole box to force GPRS Monitor to automatically change proles depending on
what connection you use.
After you select a prole for the rst time, make sure you congure its settings, tariff details
etc. Select Options... from the Tools menu, and check the Auto change prole box.
GPRS Trafc Report
GPRS Monitor also provides a Report Generation tool. You can use it to generate a detailed
text report of your network connection usage for a given period of time. Select Start menu
> Programs > GPRS Monitor > the Report tab.
