SETTING THE QUICKCLAMP
1. Push the lever

2. Turn the quick-clamping screw in 1/4 turn clockwise.
3. Close the quick-clamping lever

4. Repeat the process if the lever still closes too easily.
HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE
SETTING THE DISC BRAKE
Settings usually are not necessary at the hydraulic disc brake system. The brake linings centre in-
dependently by actuation of the brake levers.
REPLACING THE BRAKE LINING
1. Loosen the two clamp screws

of the brake calliper with a 5 mm hexagonal socket
wrench.
2. Take the brake calliper off from the brake disc.
3. Straighten the curved end of the safety pin

. Use a suitable tool for this (e.g. pliers).

BRAKE
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• The maximum brake output is only achieved after a few brake processes
with a new brake disc or new brake linings!
• The brake disc will grow very hot when braking and may cause burns. The
disc edges may also be very sharp and cause cutting injury. Therefore, do
not touch them while the disc is hot or turning.
• Use only mineral oil for the hydraulic brake system by Shimano and Tektro;
use only DOT4 or an equivalent brake fluid for any other kind. Otherwise,
there may be damage, malfunctions or even brake failure.

DANGER OF ACCIDENT AND DAMAGE!
• Replace the brake linings when their thickness is less than 0.5 mm. The bra-
ke output may otherwise drop to complete loss of the brake force and the
brake system may be damaged.
