CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
lean the scale with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use
chemical / abrasive cleaning agents.
All plastic parts should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar
and strongly flavoured / coloured foods. Avoid contact with acids citrus juices.
Storage
Store the scale in a dry location.
The scale can be stored on a level surface or can be hung by using the wall mounting hole.
Zero & Tare Function
To measure items as they are added, use the Zero and Tare Functions. If the weight
of the items being measured is below 4% of the scales capacity (less than 0.2kg/0.4lb),
the Zero function is used. If the weight of the item exceeds 4% of the scales capacity,
the Tare function is used.
1. Place the first item within the centre of weighing area of the scale.
The display will show the weight reading of the first item.
2. Without removing the item, press ZERO to reset the display to 0.
3. Depending on the weight of the item, you will see the Zero indicator ( ) or the
Tare indicator ( )on the display.
4. With the first item still in place, add the next item to the surface of the scales.
The display will show the weight of that item.
5. Press ZERO to see the total weight of the two items.
6. Press ZERO again to reset the display to 0.
7. Repeat the steps above until all items have been added. Do not exceed the
maximum weight capacity of the scale.
Minus Function
If you add multiple items to the scale at one time to get a total weight, you can
identify the value of a single item by using the minus function.
1.P lace items to the scale.
The display will show the total weight.
2.P ress ZERO to reset the display to 0.
3.R emove an item.
The display will show the weight of the removed item with the minus function
indicator ( ).
4. Press ZERO to see the weight of any remaining items.
5.R epeat steps above as needed.
Auto Shut-Off
The scale will automatically power off when the display shows 0 or the weight reading for
about 1 minute.
Warning messages
When the display shows “Lo, replace the battery.
When the scale is overloaded, the display will show “Err. Remove item to avoid damage.
