CLEANING THE FILTERS
Filters should be replaced at least twice a year or when they become visibly soiled.
Always operate the cleaner with filters installed to avoid reduced suction.
Disconnect from electrical outlet before changing the filters.
Cleaning the cartridge filter
Always operate the cleaner with the cartridge filter installed.
Ø Open the top cover (fig. 19).
Ø Remove the dust container from the cleaner (fig. 20).
Ø Remove the filter set from the dust container by taking it as indicated in the icon (fig. 21).
Ø Remove the cartridge filter by turning it counter - clockwise (A) and pull it out (B) as indicated in the icon (fig. 23).
Ø Rinse it under tap water (fig. 24).
Ø Air dry for approximately 24 hours, to ensure it is completely dry before reusing. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme drying circumstances (hair-dryer,etc.)(fig.25).
Ø Insert the cartridge filter into its place (B) and turn it clockwise (A) as indicated in the icon (fig. 23).
Ø Put the filter set back into the dust container (fig. 21). Put the dust container back into the cleaner (fig. 20).
Ø Close the top cover (fig. 19).
Cartridge filter reference number: 407 135 652/3.
Cleaning the motor filters
Motorfilter ‘A
Ø Open the top cover (fig. 19).
Ø Remove the dust container from the cleaner (fig. 20).
Ø Remove the filter set from the dust container by taking it as indicated in the icon (fig. 21).
Ø Remove the cartridge filter by turning it counter - clockwise (A) and pull it out (B) as indicated in the icon (fig. 23).
Ø Remove the filter from its place (fig. 26).
Ø Rinse it under tap water and dry it completely (fig. 28).
Ø Put the filter back into its place (fig. 26).
Ø Insert the cartridge filter into its place (B) and turn it clockwise (A) as indicated in the icon. (fig. 23).
Ø Put the filter set back into the dust container (fig. 21).
Ø Put the dust container back into the cleaner (fig. 20).
Ø Close the top cover (fig. 19).
Motorfilter ‘B’
Ø Open the top cover (fig. 19).
Ø Remove the filter from its place (fig. 27).
Ø Rinse it under tap water and dry it completely (fig. 28).
Ø Put the filter back into its place (fig. 27). Close the top cover (fig. 19).
Motorfilter reference number: Menalux D24.
Cleaning/replacing the exhaust filter
PC7220, PC7260, PC7280:
Ø Open the filter grill to remove the exhaust filter (fig. 29).
Ø Take the filter out of the grill (fig. 30).
Ø Rinse it under tap water and dry it completely (fig. 28).
Ø Put the filter back into the grill (fig. 30). Close the filter grill (fig. 29).
Exhaust micro filter reference number: Menalux D09.
PC7270:
Ø Open the filter grill to remove the exhaust filter (fig. 29).
Ø Take the filter out of its place and insert a new one (fig.31).
Ø Close the filter grill (fig. 29).
HEPA exhaust filter reference number: ANC 407 136 317/2.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Ø Attempt to recycle packaging material and old appliances.
Ø The cardboard packaging can be placed in the waste paper collection.
Ø Deposit the plastic bag made of polyethylene (PE) at the PE collection point for recycling.
Ø Deposit the polystyrene foam at the PS collection point for recycling.
Recycling the Appliance at the end of its life
Ø The plastic components all carry a material identification marking so that, like the other materials, they can recycled at the end of the life of the appli-
ance.
Ø Please inquire with your local authority.
Blocked air flow and dirty filters
Ø The cleaner stops automatically if a blockage occurs in the nozzle/tube/hose or if the filters are blocked with dirt.
Ø Disconnect from mains and allow the cleaner to cool for 20-30 minutes. Remove blockage and/or clean filters.
Ø Restart the cleaner.
