Unpacking the appliance
1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packing materials such as foils,
lling material, cord holders, and cardboard
packaging.
3. Check the scope of delivery for its complete-
ness.
4. If there are missing parts or obvious damage,
do not use the device. Return it to your retailer
immediately.
NOTE:
There may still be dust or production residues
on the appliance. We recommend cleaning the
appliance as described under “Cleaning”.
Notes for use
Location
A slip-resistant, level surface is suitable as the
location.
Closing and opening the lid
Observe the symbols on the lid and device.
1. Position the lid with the
symbol aligned with
the symbol.
2. Secure the lid by turning it anticlockwise. The
lid is locked when both and are aligned
with each other.
3. To open the lid, turn it clockwise and remove it.
Filling quantity
Fill the container with coffee beans, not exceeding
the black plastic rim. That equals to an amount of
approx. 50 g
Electrical connection
1. Check that the mains voltage that you want to
use corresponds with the one of the appliance.
You will nd the information about this on the
type plate of the appliance base.
2. Connect the power cord to a properly installed
protective contact socket.
Switching on / off
• Press the
button to switch on the device.
• When releasing the button, the device will turn
off.
NOTE:
The motor drive of the appliance is equipped with
a safety switch. If the device cannot be turned
on, check the correct t of the lid.
Pulse operation
Press the
button in intervals to operate in pulse
mode.
Short-term operation
• The device is suited for a short-term operation
of a maximum of 30 seconds.
• Only use the appliance in immediate succes-
sion for a maximum of 5 times.
• Maintain a break of 1 minute between operat-
ing cycles.
Using the appliance
1. Add the coffee beans into the container. Do not
overll the container!
2. Put the lid on. Lock the lid.
3. Hold the device with one hand. Press the
button with the other hand.
4. Work in pulse operation for an optimal result.
This helps you set the level of neness for the
beans you are grinding.
