Use of strain relief strap
Before mounting the strain relief strap remove dust and dirt from the top of the
trunk of your vehicle. Open the trunk of your vehicle. Run the free end of the
strap between the trunk door and roof edge outwards (1). Leave about 20cm
free between the anchor and the roof edge. Close the trunk of your vehicle
gently. Make sure the strap is flat and straight between the seals. Now slowly
pull the strap out until the anchor is stopped by the roof edge and the trunk of
your vehicle.
Make sure that any existing roof spoiler is not damaged and that the function of
strain relief strap is not affected by the roof spoiler.
Attach the part of the belt with the buckle on the U-tube of the bike carrier (2).
Connect the two parts of the strain relief strap to each other (3) and pull the
strap tight.
