MIXING
Swing the mixer head up first before placing the mixing bowl on the stand or removing it from the
stand. Place the mixing bowl on the turntable and then press the unlocking button to lower the mixer
head.
Always start mixing at the lowest speed. The speed will increase when you turn the speed switch from
Min. to Max. Select a speed that is suitable for the ingredients you are using. Consult the speed table to
make the right choice.
Add ingredients to your mixture gradually.
Never use the mixer with a combination of one dough hook and one whisk; this will damage the mixer.
Stop the mixer when you wish to scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl clean with a plastic
spatula. Never scrape the sides or the bottom of the mixing bowl while the mixer is on.
The large mixing bowl is suitable for up to 3.8 litres of mixture; the smaller bowl is suitable for up to
1.4 litres of mixture. Never fill the mixing bowl more than half-full with ingredients.
BEATING EGG WHITES
A separate beater is supplied for this. This has a hexagonal collar and will only fit into the right-hand
holder. This beater is used on its own, and not as part of a set.

3. Hold the whisks or dough hooks and press the eject button to remove them from the mixer. Attention:
always handle the whisks and the dough hooks with due care!
CLEANING: NEVER IMMERSE THE MIXER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID.
1. After use, remove the whisks or the dough hooks from the mixer and then wipe the
mixer, the stand and the turntable clean with a damp cloth, then dry them with a teatowel.
2. Wash the whisks, dough hooks and mixing bowls that have been used in warm soapy
water, then rinse and dry. The whisks, dough hooks and mixing bowls are dishwasher-safe.
3. Avoid scratching the utensils. You should therefore never use the scouring side of
kitchen sponges or clean the mixing bowls, whisks or dough hooks with abrasive
cleaning materials. Also, the whisks and dough hooks should not be left to soak in water
for a long period (a number of hours or overnight), as this can damage the metal finish.
