- Ensure that the appliance is far from the edge of the table or working surface so that it can’t be knocked
over; also make sure that the cord does not hang in such a way that someone could trip over it or become
entangled.
- Keep the appliance away from a hotplate that is switched on.
- Keep the appliance away from water when in use and when the oil or fat is still hot. Water spatters when
in hot oil, so first dry the food with a paper towel and shake off as much of the frosty bits as you can.
- After use, immediately remove the plug from the electrical socket.
PRINCESS TIPS
- Do not use the appliance if it is damaged; send it to our service department.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to prevent a hazard.
- The appliance is equipped with a thermal fuse. If the thermostat malfunctions and the appliance could
get overheated, the electric current is automatically interrupted. Your appliance should then be returned
to our service department.
DEEP-FRYER APPLIANCE USE
- Before first use, clean the appliance thoroughly with hot water and a bit of detergent. Make sure that
the electrical part does not get wet.
- Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry the appliance.
- Fill the appliance with fat or vegetable oil. If you use hard blocks of fat, first cut them in pieces and set
the temperature dial at 90º C until the fat has completely melted.
- The oil level should always be between the lowest (min) and the highest (max) level indicator, +/- 1 L.
- Adjust the thermostat button to the desired temperature. Consult the table with temperatures on front
side of deep fryer.
- The light turns off when the desired temperature is reached.
- When the light turns off, first dip the empty basket in the oil. This keeps the food from sticking.
- Put the food you wish to deep-fry in the basket. For best results, put the food in dry.
- Use the detachable handle to place the basket in the deep fryer. Then remove the grip from the basket.
IMPORTANT: make sure that the handle is properly attached to the basket so that it will not fall off
when shaking up the chips (or other foods).
- Slowly immerse the basket to prevent bubbling.
- Lift the basket up again when the deep-frying is done and hang it on the hook in the pan so the oil can drip out.
- Remove the plug from the electrical socket.
- Rinse the handle and the grip after use and dry thoroughly.
- When the deep fryer has entirely cooled off, you can remove the basket and store the appliance. Store it
with the lid on in a dark and dry place. You can leave the basket and oil in the deep fryer.
DEEP-FRYING TIPS
- For better results, use the recommended oil or fat. It is strongly discouraged to use different types of oil
or fat at the same time.
- Regularly replace the oil or fat, and especially if it gets dark or dirty, or if it starts
frothing abnormally. Clean the tub each time before you replace the oil or fat.
- Any heating for a long period of time lessens the quality of the oil or fat. Turn the deep fryer off after
every use.
- To obtain the best results, do not fry large amounts of food all at once.
- Use at the most 300 grams of chips per litre of oil.
- Use a maximum of 200 grams of deep-frozen foods due to the rapid cooling. Shake off deep frozen
products over the sink to remove ice remains.
- When using chips from fresh potatoes: dry the chips after washing so that no water will
be in the oil.
- Fry the chips in 2 turns. First frying turn (pre-frying): 5 – 10 minutes at 170º C. Second
frying turn: 4 minutes at 190º C. Allow to drip well before serving.
- Don’t fry too much food at once. Only cover the bottom of the basket, so the temperature
of the oil doesn’t drop; this would cause the food to absorb more oil.
- Keep to the prescribed deep-frying time.
- Do not add salt to the food before or during deep-frying; do so only when the basket has
been removed from the fryer. Salt and water spoil the oil.
