New Classics Contact Grill Article 112347
General
This attractive Princess New Classics
Contact Grill is one of the products in our
New Classics range, all of which are
finished in sturdy chrome-plated steel. You
can use the Contact Grill to fry, grill or heat
meat, chicken, fish and vegetables, and to
prepare sandwiches and tostis.
The Contact Grill is equipped with top and
bottom grill plates, and is supplied with a
fat tray to collect excess juice. The
appliance is extremely simple to use. All
you need to do is connect the appliance to
a 220 - 240 V mains power supply. Once
the appliance has heated up you put the
food on the grill plate and close the lid,
which has an adjustable height. The
design of the lid automatically ensures for
an optimum pressure distribution, adjusted
to the thickness of the food to be grilled.
You will be rewarded with a delicious
grilled meal within no time at all.
Operation and
controls

The appliance has the following features:

Before use for the first time
1 Remove the packaging.
2 Clean the appliance. See ‘Cleaning and
maintenance’.
Use
Place the appliance on a flat, stable,
heat-resistant and splash-proof
surface where it cannot fall.
Take care when using the appliance.
The grill plates are very hot, and can
cause burns if touched.
Watch out for steam and splashes
when putting food on the hot grill
plate and closing the lid.
The appliance’s lid will also become
hot, since it is an excellent conductor
of heat.
Use oven gloves if you need to touch
the appliance during or after use.
1 Verify that the grill plates are clean, and
free of food residues or dust. If
necessary, clean the grill plates with a
damp cloth. Verify that the fat tray is
correctly fitted under the grill.
2 Open the lid with the handle, and
secure it in place with the locking
button.
3 Brush a thin film of vegetable oil onto
the grill plates. This is beneficial to the
non-stick coating.
4 Close the lid.
5 Put the plug into the wall socket. The
red On/Off indicator light and the green
temperature-indicator light will
illuminate. The appliance will require a
few minutes to heat up.
The correct temperature has been
attained once the green temperature-
indicator light extinguishes.
6 Put on oven gloves and carefully open
the lid by the handle. Secure the lid in
the open position using the locking
button.
7 Use a wooden or plastic spatula to put
the food on the bottom grill plate. Never
use metal utensils; they could damage
