PRINCESS 2-IN-1 WAFFLE & GRILL ART. 112341
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
The PRINCESS 2-IN-1 WAFFLE & GRILL is a 2 in 1 appliance. The appliance can be used as a waffle
iron with the waffle plates. The appliance can also be used as a grill with the two grill plates that are
included. All the plates are of solid, cast light metal and are coated with a non-stick layer. Because of this,
the appliance can be cleaned quickly and easily. The indicator light and the locking grip make the 2 in 1 a
practical appliance to use
We recommend you to wash the plates carefully before use in warm water with a little washing-up liquid,
and then dry them well. The machine may give off a little smoke when used for the first time. This is normal
for new heating elements and will stop after a short time.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Completely unroll the lead and insert the plug in the outlet. Place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant
surface. The appliance can now be opened. Grease the plates lightly with cooking oil (only the first time
and after cleaning). Close the appliance and allow the plates to heat up. If you are intending to use the
appliance as a grill you do not need to close it while it is heating. The plates will have reached the right
temperature when the ‘Ready’ indicator light goes on.
The 2 in 1 has an locking grip on the lower handle. Close the 2 in 1; the appliance will be locked in
position automatically by applying a little pressure. Don’t press the plates against each other too vigorously.
Open the sandwich grill by pressing the locking grip.
USE AS A WAFFLE IRON
Important:
Wait until the plates are at the right temperature. Always prepare the dough at room temperature.
Liquid dough:
Use a ladle to ensure that the formed surface of the lower plate is covered sufficiently.
Solid dough:
Knead 2 balls of dough and lay these on the centre of the plates. Make sure that the mixture is distributed
evenly. Close the appliance but do not clamp it shut. The dough will now flow into the moulded surface
of the other plate.
When the waffles are ready, remove them. If possible use a two-pronged fork for this purpose. Be careful
not to damage the non-stick coating when doing this. The plates will have been forced apart a little by
steam pressure during the baking process. This is completely normal. This is why the appliance should
not be clamped shut when baking waffles. Bake at the correct temperature, otherwise the waffles will
stick to the plates. Do not open the waffle iron too quickly or the waffles will be pulled apart.
USE AS A GRILL
In order to grill, heat the appliance while closed as it will heat much faster like this. The cooking time
will depend on the chosen dish or ingredients. You can, of course, experiment with the cooking time to
get the best results.
Small pieces of meat, fish etc. will be cooked through faster than large pieces
Turn meat and fish once only in order to prevent them from drying out. For the same reason
it is better to use a spatula than to prick with a fork.
Use a wooden or plastic spatula on the frying plate. Do not use metal implements as these
could damage the non-stick coating.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.
Clean the appliance after each time that you use it. Allow the appliance to cool completely
first. Clean the outside with a damp cloth. The plates can be cleaned using soapy water.
