electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.

The PRINCESS MULTI GRILL is ideal for making quick and tasty toasties, with ham, cheese or other

ingredients. This contact grill has removable grill plates. Ideal for fish, meat, vegetables, sandwiches etc.

The grill plates have a non-stick coating so no oil or fat is needed, reducing fat absorption for deliciously

light food! The grill plates can be removed so that cleaning is very easy. With its indicator light and adjustable

thermostat, the PRINCESS MULTI GRILL is a very practical appliance.

We recommend that you wash the plates carefully before use in warm water with a little washing-up

liquid, and then dry them well. The plates may give off a little smoke when used for the first time. This is

normal for new heating elements and will stop after a short time.

REMOVING AND REPLACING THE PLATES

• Pull out the locking grip. Remove the plate from the housing. The plate is fitted by two locking grips

on the rear side.

• To replace, repeat the procedure in reverse order.

TO USE AS SANDWICH MAKER

Wait until the plates are at the right temperature. Place a slice of bread on the lower plate, then the filling,

then another slice of bread. Close the appliance. The toasted sandwich will be ready after about 3 minutes.

You should use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove the toasted sandwich in order to avoid damage to

the non-stick coating.

TO USE AS A GRILL

In order to grill, heat the appliance while closed as it will heat much faster like this. When the plates are

heated, open the appliance. This open grilling position is handy for use in the kitchen and is also very

nice at the table! Moreover, it is a healthy way to grill or fry because no oil or butter is required.

The cooking time and temperature setting will depend on the chosen dish or ingredients. You can, of

course, experiment with the cooking time and the temperature setting to get the best results.

Small pieces of meat, fish etc. will be cooked through faster than large pieces.

Turn meat and fish once only in order to prevent them from drying out. For the same reason it is better to

use a spatula than to prick with a fork.

Use a wooden or plastic spatula on the frying plate. Do not use metal implements as these could damage

the non-stick coating.

You can also grill while the appliance is closed. To do this, place the meat, fish or other ingredients on the

lowest frying plate before closing the appliance.

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.

Clean the appliance after each time that you use it. Allow the appliance to cool completely

first. Clean the outside with a damp cloth. The plates should be cleaned in warm water

with washing-up liquid and then rinsed with clean water from the tap. Do not use any

sharp metal objects or aggressive substances on the non-stick coating. If the plates are very

dirty they should be soaked for half an hour in hot water and detergent.

After grilling it is frequently only necessary to wipe the plates with kitchen paper while the

appliance is still warm.
