How to make the spicy sauce:
Chop the gherkin finely and squeeze dry. Chop the onion finely. Combine the tomato ketchup, vegetables,
curry powder and Tabasco and season with pepper and salt.
Ho to make the curry sauce:
Melt a knob of butter in a small pan. Heat the pan until the butter begins to bubble. Remove from the heat
and add the curry powder, stir briefly and then add the ginger syrup and half a pot of mayonnaise. Season
with salt and pepper to taste.
How to make the ravigote:
Put the rest of the mayonnaise in a bowl. Shell the boiled egg and cut into pieces. Chop the shallot, gher-
kin and parsley finely and stir into the mayonnaise.
Everything is now ready for the (electric) barbecue. Set a wooden or stone table outdoors and put the
Princess Table Chef in the middle where everybody can reach it. Arrange the palette and the sauces
around the table and get frying!
3. ITALIAN-STYLE BARBECUE
Thermostat setting: “High”
4 serving:
8 veal escalopes of 60 grams each. 4 slices Parma ham, 1 bunch sage, 8 skewers, 100 grams grated
Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, 100 grams pasta bows, 50 grams olives, 4 basil leaves, 1 steak tomato, 2 tables-
poons balsamic vinegar, 3 dl. virgin olive oil.
Preparation:
Flatten the veal under cling-film with sage leaves in between (do not press too hard). Cut the slices of
Parma ham in half and place half a slice on each escalope. Secure with a skewer. Brush the veal lightly
with olive oil and arrange on an attractive dish. Fry the escalopes on the hotplate until golden brown.
Pasta salad:
Cook the pasta bows al dente in salted water. Rinse briefly with cold water and stir in a little olive oil. Cut
the olives into rings and the tomato into pieces, then chop the onion and the basil finely. Mix all these
ingredients together and add salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar to taste. Add more olive oil if required for
more flavour.
Cheese cakes:
Beat the egg together with the grated Parmesan cheese. Fry this mixture for several minutes on the hotpla-
te, turning regularly, to form cheese cakes. A tomato sauce complements these delicious cakes perfectly.

thermostat à la température souhaitée. L’appareil chauffe en 10 minutes environ.
Vous pouvez préparer entre-temps les ingrédients. Le voyant de température s’éteint lors-
que la plaque a atteint la température requise.
