3. BARBECUE OP Z’N ITALIAANS
Thermostaattemperatuur: “High”
Benodigdheden voor 4 personen:
8 kalfsoesters à 60 gram, 4 plakken Parmaham, 1 bosje salie, 8 satéprikkers, 100 gram geraspte
Parmezaanse kaas, 1 ei, 100 gram pastavlinders, 50 gram olijven, 4 blaadjes basilicum, 1 vleestomaat, 2
eetlepels balsamicoazijn, 3 dl olijfolie extra virgine.
Bereiding:
Plet het kalfsvlees, met in het midden wat blaadjes salie, onder plasticfolie (niet te hard drukken). Snij
dan de Parmaham in tweeën en leg op iedere kalfsoester een halve plak. Prik het vast met een satéprikker.
Bestrijk het vlees licht met olijfolie en rangschik het op een mooie schaal. Bak de kalfsoesters lichtbruin
op de plaat.
Salade van pasta:
Kook de vlinders in water met wat zout al dente (= net gaar). Even onder de koude kraan laten schrikken
en vermengen met een beetje olijfolie. Snij nu de olijven in ringetjes, de vleestomaat in blokjes en hak de
ui en de basilicum ragfijn. Roer dit alles door elkaar en breng het op smaak met peper, zout en balsamico-
azijn. Voeg eventueel olijfolie toe voor een nog smeuïger geheel.
Kaaskoekjes:
Klop een ei los met de geraspte Parmezaanse kaas. Bak er in enkele minuten kaaskoekjes van door ze
regelmatig op de bakplaat om te draaien. Bij dit overheerlijke gerecht laat een tomatensaus zich zeer goed
smaken.

TIPS FOR USE
Make sure the griddle is placed on a sturdy table or other stable surface. Do not place it on a (hot) stove
or hob. Place the plug into the socket and set the thermostat button to the desired temperature. It will take
around 10 minutes to heat up. You can use this time to prepare the ingredients. When the griddle reaches
the correct temperature, the temperature lamp will illuminate.
The cooking time and temperature setting will depend on the chosen dish or ingredients. You can, of cour-
se, experiment with the cooking time and the temperature setting to get the best results.
Small pieces of meat, fish etc. will be cooked through faster than large pieces.
Turn meat and fish once only in order to prevent them from drying out. For the same reas-
on, it is better to use a spatula than to prick with a fork.
Use a wooden or plastic spatula on the griddle. Do not use metal implements as these
could damage the non-stick coating.
Note: during cooking, the temperature light will flicker. This is normal and shows that the
thermostat is working properly. Remove the plug from the socket when the griddle is not
in use.
