Lift the red cover

and press the

DISTRESS button.

ENVOYER UN APPEL DE DÉTRESSE VOCAL

Soulevez le couvercle rouge. Maintenez la touche DISTRESS enfoncée

pendant trois secondes. La radio transmet à intervalle régulier de quelques

minutes, la position de votre bateau, jusqu’à réception d’une réponse.

Remarque : Si la radio afche Enter User MMSI, annulez l’appel

de détresse automatique et envoyez un appel de détresse stan-

dard.

Pour envoyer un Appel de Détresse Vocal

Parlez lentement - distinctement - calmement.

En cas de besoin ultérieur, inscrivez ci-dessous le nom et l’indicatif d’appel de votre bateau :

 1. Vériezquevotreradiosoitallumée.

2. Appuyez sur la touche 16/9-TRIandecommutersurlecanal16(156.8MHz).(Sile

canal16nes’afchepas,appuyezànouveausurlatouche16/9-TRI jusqu’à ce que le

canals’afche.)

3. Appuyez sur le bouton PUSH TO TALK du microphone et dites: “MAYDAY -- MAYDAY

-- MAYDAY.”

4. Donnez l’identité de votre bateau en disant : “ICI{nomdevotrebateau}(troisfois)et

{l’indicatifd’appeloulenumérod’identicationdevotrebateau}(uneseulefois).”

 5. Répétez“MAYDAY{nomdevotrebateau}”(uneseulefois).

 6. Indiquezvotreposition:(quelssontlespointsderepèreouaidesàlanavigationàproxi-

mité ou lisez les coordonnées de latitude et longitude données par votre GPS.

 7. Indiquezl’étatdevotresituationdedétresse(parexemple,noussommesentrainde

couler, urgence médicale, un homme à la mer, un incendie, nous sommes à la dérive,

etc.).

 8. Déclarezletyped’assistancedemandée(médicale,remorquage,essence,etc.).

 9. Indiquezlenombredepersonnesàbordetl’étatdesblessés,s’ilyena.

10. Évaluez les conditions de navigabilité de votre navire, tel que le degré d’urgence par

rapport à l’inondation, à l’incendie ou à votre distance des côtes.

11. Décrivez brièvementvotrenavireendonnant le nomdu bateau (parexemple “Blue

Duckestunbateaudecroisièrede32pieds,avecunecoqueblancheetunroufbleu”).

12. Dites: “JE SUIS À L’ÉCOUTE DU CANAL 16”.

13. Terminezvotremessagepar“ICI{nomouindicatifd’appeldevotrebateau},AVOUS.”

14. RelâchezleboutonPUSHTOTALKdumicrophoneetécoutez.

Si vous n’obtenez aucune réponse au bout de 30 secondes, répétez l’appel en com-

mençant directement par l’étape 3, ci-dessus.
