FAULT FINDING
Appliance fails to start:
Check the mains supply, check that the plug is pushed firmly into the
mains socket, and check the fuse in the mains plug.
Appliance operates noisily:
Check that the air filter is not clogged.
Check that the appliance is placed on a LEVEL surface.
Humidity is not removed from the air:
Allow time for the appliance to remove the moisture.
Make sure that the humidity control is set to a low enough RH value.
Make sure that the air intakes and exhausts are not blocked.
Make sure that doors and windows are closed.
Remove sources of water vapour such as gas heaters or fish tanks.
The appliance will not operate efficiently below 1°C.
If the room is larger than 17m
2
a more powerful dehumidifier may be
required.
Odd smell
This is caused by odours being absorbed by the dessicant disc and
dischaged back into the air when the desiccant disc is heated. When the
appliance is new their will be some remaining odour from the
manufacturing of the desiccant disc
Water on the floor
Appliance is not on a level surface, and the bucket is overflowing.
If using continuous drainage, the hose is kinked, blocked or not sloping
downwards.
Appliance switches off when left operating unattended for more
than 24 hours
This is a safety feature to ensure that the appliance is regularly checked.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
You must not dispose of this appliance with domestic household waste.
Most local authorities have specific collection system for appliances and
disposal is free of charge to the end-user.
When replacing an existing appliance with a similar new appliance your
retailer may take the old appliance for disposal.
