8.4 Replacement of the spool and line (Fig. 4)
▪ Unplug from the socket.
▪ Turn upside down the machine with the guard facing upwards.
▪ Hold with one hand the motor fan and the lower part of the spool firmly and with the other
turn the upper part of the spool holder (8) anti-clockwise.
▪ Extract the empty spool and clean the inside of the spool holder carefully removing all dust
and grass residues.
▪ Insert now the new spool in the motor fan and push the end of line through the lateral
holes provided on the motor fan.
▪ Mount again by turning the spool holder (8) clockwise into the motor fan
▪ Re-establish the length of the nylon line by pushing the head of spool holder and pull the
line ends out to the desired length (approx. 10 cm).
CAUTION! Under no circumstances wind extra line on the empty spool but
instead replace it with a new one, the same as the original. The use of line
with different characteristics to those of the original can permanently
damage the grass trimmer as well as annulling the terms of the guarantee.

11 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your tool has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular
cleaning.
Warning! Before performing any maintenance, switch off and unplug the
tool.
▪ Regularly clean the ventilation slot in your tool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
▪ Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
▪ Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass and dirt from the underneath of the guard.
