▪ Now fasten both with the locking knob (4).
▪ Slide the starter cable (5) through the eye (a).
8.2 Guiding the throttle and starter cable (Fig. C)
▪ Guide the throttle cable on top of the lower and upper handlebars using the supplied
cable mounting clip (b).
Caution: the starter cable (5) and the throttle cable (6) must always be
positioned on top of the handlebar. This provides free movement of the
cable on top of the lower section of the push handle, when the handle is
folded. Incorrect mounting of the cable could lead to damaging and/or
straining it, resulting in a malfunction of the machine. In this case the
guaranty is void.
8.3 Assembling the grass bag (Fig. D)
▪ Lift the rear discharge cover (8) with one hand and hook in the grass bag (7).
▪ Release the rear discharge (8) cover to secure the grass bag (7) in position.
9 OPERATION
9.1 Before starting
This lawn mower is shipped WITHOUT OIL OR GASOLINE in the engine
9.1.1 Add oil (Fig. E)
Before each subsequent use the oil level must be checked and if necessary topped up with
SAE30 engine oil.
CAUTION: DO NOT overfill engine with oil, or it will smoke heavily from the
muffler on start-up.
▪ Be sure the lawnmower is level.
▪ Remove the oil dipstick from oil fill spout (a).
▪ Wipe the oil dipstick clean; tighten the oil tank cap and then remove it again. The oil level
must be within the marking and should be clear with gold colour.
▪ Refill if the oil level is too low.
IMPORTANT:
▪ Check the oil level before each use. Add oil if needed.
▪ Change the oil after every 25 hours of operation or each season. You may need to change
the oil more often under dusty, dirty conditions.
NOTE: Running the engine with a low oil level will cause engine damage. It
is recommended that high detergent, premium quality 4-stroke engine oil is
used.
