7.2 Attaching and adjusting the parallel guide (Fig. 2)
▪ Secure the two guide rods (28) to the parallel.
▪ guide (24) using the screws.
▪ Undo the locking knobs (9).
▪ Slide the parallel guide rods through the holes (15).
▪ Adjust to a suitable setting.
▪ Tighten the locking knobs.
7.3 Fitting the centring pin for circle cutting (Fig. 3)
1. Drill a hole the same diameter as the pin in the centre of the circle that is to be cut out.
2. Turn the parallel guide upside down and fasten the centring pin into one of the holes.
3. Set the correct radius for the circle.
4. Tighten the guide rod locking knob.
5. Stick the point of the centring pin into the centre hole of the circle to be cut.
6. With the router switched off, move the router around the circle to check if it is the right size
and make any adjustments.
7. Cut the circle in stages, lowering the router cutter about 2 mm on each circuit. Do not try to
cut too deeply in one go.
7.4 Fitting the template guide and dust extraction adaptor
▪ Attach the template guide using the included screws (Fig. 4).
▪ Place the dust extraction port adaptor (Fig. 5).
8 SETTING CUTTER DEPTH (FIG. 6 & A)
▪ The router is equipped with a depth stop (17) which is adjusted by turning the locking
screw (18).
▪ When a rough setting has been made fine adjustments can be made using the adjustment
screw (2).
▪ By turning the depth set block (14) the depth of cut can be altered to one of 6 fixed
settings.
▪ The locking lever Fig A (19) is for raising or lowering the height of the router body. We
recommend that the router is locked when cutting as it is most stable in that position.
9 SWITCHING ON/OFF (FIG. 7)
Switching on: Hold the safety switch (5) and the power switch (6).
Switching off: Release the power switch.
10 SETTING THE SPEED (FIG. 8)
Select the speed by turning the speed selector (3). After running the tool at low speed for a long
time, one should let the motor run at maximum speed for about 3 minutes to cool it down.
11 CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, AND LUBRICATION
▪ Before each use, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for loose hardware,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical
wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
▪ After Use, wipe external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth.
▪ Periodically blow out the motor vent holes with compressed air to prevent the build-up of
dust and particles.
▪ Periodically wipe the collet, collet cones, and cutting bits with a light oil to prevent rust.
▪ Over time, if the performance of the tool diminishes, or it stops working completely, it may
be necessary to replace the carbon brushes by removing the brush holder cap. This
procedure must be completed by a qualified technician.
