10.3 Manually thread lengthening
▪ The wire can also be lengthened manually if necessary.
▪ Before manually lengthen the wire, remove the battery from the device.
▪ Press the button on the manual extension wire and release it while pulling gently the wire
until it arrives at the cutter.
▪ The wire is too long if it exceeds the level of the cutter.
11 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your tool has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular
cleaning.
▪ Regularly clean the ventilation slot in your tool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
▪ Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
▪ Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass and dirt from the underneath of the guard.
12 STORAGE
▪ Store the trimmer out of reach of children, in a stable and safe position and in a dry place
where the temperature is not too hot or too cold.
▪ Store the trimmer away from direct sunlight, if possible in a dark or barely lit place.
▪ Do not store in a nylon bag because this could encourage the formation of damp patches.
▪ Do not store the grass trimmer resting on the floor. Hang it by the handgrip instead, so that
the guard does not touch anything. The resting of the guard on a surface could alter its
shape and therefore its dimensions and its safety characteristics would be modified.
